Karl Hadden - U15's
Mg & Facilities/Equip. Sec.

The Hadden family first landed at Pinewood in March 1998, when their
eldest son, Tommy, joined at the tender age of 4yrs. It was only a
matter of weeks before Karl was helping to collect stray footballs,
and joining in the lads v dads matches at the end of the training
sessions (which were allowed back then!).
A year or so later, Tommy's younger brother joined, and Karl agreed
to take on the role of manager of the U-7's age group. Oh dear, oh
dear, what had he let himself in for? Enthusiastically, he turned up
for his first session, and was horrified when he blew his whistle, to
have 75 boys and girls come running at him. Things were a little
different in those days, not so many coaches!!! He often felt like
the pied piper running up and down the pitch with all those kids
trailing behind! Well, there was no turning back then, and he
continues to manage Daniel's team, with the help of his good
friend and coach, Rodger Allen. They are now U-13's Pumas and play in
the Premier division, and the pied piper days are just a distant memory.
Karl is a life long Chelsea fan, and has been known to be a grumpy
git when things don't go right, but always stays loyal no matter what!
Karl has been a self employed ceramic wall/floor tiler for 25 years,
a husband for 18 years, a dad for 17 years, a Pinewood manager for 9
years and Pinewood Facilities Secretary for 6 years.
